About This Script
Advanced trend-following strategy with self-tuning trend filter, Heiken Ashi smoothing, built-in backtester, volatility-adjusted position sizing, and active trade panel.
Enzo features three trend detection modes (Self-Tuning, Absolute, and Manual), a Hull Moving Average filter to remove choppy price action, and comprehensive backtesting with 14 performance metrics. Suitable for medium-frequency and HTF trading (1H and above).
How To Use
Follow the signals: Long Entry, Short Entry, Close Long, Close Short. The strategy handles trend detection and position management automatically.
Inputs:
- Trend Mode: Self-Tuning (auto-adapts to timeframe, recommended for most users), Absolute (strongest trend detection, zero whipsaw), or Manual (user-controlled length 30-200)
- Filter: Hull Moving Average filter to remove choppy price action (toggleable on/off)
- Position Size Mode: Full Position (80% equity per trade) or Volatility-Adjusted (adapts sizing to market volatility)
- Compounding: Configurable 0-100% profit reinvestment
- Long-Only Mode: Option to show only long trades (ignores short signals)
- TradingView Native Backtesting: Optional toggle to use TradingView's built-in backtest engine alongside the custom table
- Custom Date Range: Set specific start and end dates for backtesting
Backtest Table:
- Net Return: The total percentage gain or loss
- Profit Factor: The ratio of gross profits to gross losses
- Maximum Drawdown: Largest decline in ROI from the peak to following trough
- Recovery Factor: Net profit / max. drawdown. How efficiently the strategy recovers
- CAGR: Compound Annual Growth Rate. Annualized return
- Sharpe Ratio: Risk-adjusted returns
- Kurtosis: Measures the 'tailedness' of the return distribution
- Hit Rate: Percentage of trades that are profitable
- Total Trades: Number of total trades
- Best Trade: The largest single winning trade
- Worst Trade: The largest single worst loss
- Mean Trade: The average percentage return of a trade
- Expectancy: The average amount you can expect to win per trade expressed in R-multiples
- Skewness: Measures the asymmetry of the return distribution
